Social dances are dances that have a social function and context. Social dances are intended for participation rather than performance. They are often danced merely to socialise and for entertainment, though they may have ceremonial, competitive and erotic functions

The social dances we offer in The Dance Club Kilkenny is:

Bachata - style of social dance from the Dominican Republic, bachata is slower and kind of suave (smooth)

Salsa - style of social dance from Cuba and Pueto Rico, salsa music tends to be faster y picante (spicy)

Wedding Choreography - I will create a simple wedding dance choreography that is easy to perform and makes you look good and confident on your wedding day.

Hen/Stag Parties - We offer a range of hen party activity packages to suit all budgets for that unique experience with our hen gang!

Kizomba - Kizomba is a dance and musical genre that originated in Angola in 1984

Salsa Fitness is a unique form of exercise because it provides the heart-healthy benefits of an aerobic exercise which is low intensity/ low impact while also allowing you to engage in a social activity. – Helps with weight loss (Salsa Dancing on average Burns off 420 + calories per hour).

More About
The Dance Club Kilkenny

The Dance Club Kilkenny was only set up in Late July 2022. Kate  had returned home after 2.5yrs in India. The dance club is a community and school which teaches dance style/ Social dance styles such as Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba.

It is a club where the classes can be held anywhere and I pick locations which have good people and good small businesses to help others in the community. I also use studios around the city to host my classes

It's for all ages and levels and my mission is to instill a great love of dance, while inspiring self-confidence, discipline and respect for the performing arts.

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a dancer or taking dance classes is seeing you improve. It's that a-ha moment when a light bulb goes off and a you are finally able to perform a certain skill after months of practice. This rewarding feeling isn't just limited to skills, though. It creates a community and a place of fun!
